How to Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Kontext account through the following methods:
Method 1: In-App Settings
- Open the Kontext app
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to "Account Management"
- Select "Delete Account"
- Follow the confirmation prompts
Method 2: Email Request
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information and settings
- Chat history and conversations
- Personal preferences and customizations
- Usage analytics tied to your account
- Any stored authentication tokens
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have backed up any important conversations or data before proceeding.
Data Retention
- Immediate deletion: Most personal data is deleted immediately upon request
- 30-day grace period: Some backup data may be retained for up to 30 days for recovery purposes
- Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are typically processed within:
- In-app deletion: Immediate to 24 hours
- Email requests: 3-5 business days
What Happens After Deletion
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
- You will no longer be able to access your account
- All associated data will be permanently removed
- You may create a new account at any time with the same email address
